Finally, after who knows how long (a month and a half, actually), I have FINALLY made another music video! And it includes clips from 314 and 315 (a lot of them, actually).
I've been waiting to make this AMV for months now. I believe I first heard it in January when Wishsong214 suggested I make it once we had Sokka rescuing Suki...after listening to the song/watching it over and over again in a Final Fantasy AMV on YouTube, I had an idea of what I wanted to do with it. I had planned it out even before I knew what clips I would be using. Naturally, the clips I got were completely different from what I was expecting, and as a result, the video turned out VERY different from my original concept. One of the big changes was the exchange of the Maiko and Sukka verses; I'd originally intended for there to only be a bare focus on Mai and Zuko, but Wishsong214 convinced me to give Mai the first verse, and I think it turned out really well. Katara gave me a lot of difficulty, but I'm satisfied with the result...and Suki's bit was not quite what I wanted, ultimately, but I'm pleased. ALL of the refrains make me very, very happy, though.
I drew heavily on influence from the original AMV I got hooked on--if you look this song up on YouTube, the vid should be the first one you see. It's a REALLY good vid, and I couldn't help borrowing some elements. But I still retained enough originality with this one, I think. I also tried something of a new style with the clips, aiming more for metaphors than the literal interpretations. It all makes sense in my head, and I hope it works for the viewers.
Please refrain from comments that contain spoilers for the series finale!
Thanks are owed to Wishsong214 for helping to edit this thing and suggesting it in the first place, as well as to the creator of the vid on YouTube.
Music is "I Want to Save You" by Something Corporate.
Clips belong to Nickelodeon and their show, "Avatar: The Last Airbender."

Sandwich Day
Mai + Food = OTP2.
This is a gag from NBC's 30 Rock. It's a hilarious show....and this particular episode was particularly epic. This is a compilation of several segments from the show, blended into its own single storyline.
I actually made this a while ago, but I decided to wait and see if TBR had any clips I could use...and it did. Bwahahaha.
Try not to throw any spoilers for the finale in your comments if you know them.
Cast:
Mai = Liz Lemon
Aang = Kenneth
Sokka = Tracy
Zuko = Frank
Iroh = Lutz
30 Rock belongs to NBC.
Avatar: the Last Airbender belongs to Nickelodeon. What a waste.

Relationships.
Powerful words, in my opinion. A slightly different view on the relationships of this show.
I still haven't seen 314 or 315, don't spoil me, please. If I'd seen them, I would probably have used clips from them....here's hoping that things work out.
Audio and visual belong to their respective owners.
This might not all be perfectly applicable, but I think it's so. I hope it's so.

Katara Is Unfunny
Zuko tells her why.
Clips from up to 313. I have NOT seen 314 or 315, so if you have a userpic from one of those episodes, please think twice about commenting. Also, please do not spoil anything with comments.
Casting was pretty basic...it got difficult at times and I'm not completely happy, but there are a number of inside jokes involved in my choices, so it makes sense to me. Which means that it will make no sense to you, but just bear with me and watch! :)
Scrubs belongs to its owners.
Avatar belongs to its.
I own neither.
I just made the vid in order to keep myself busy and away from spoilers.

An Avatar Commercial Break
Bored and utterly fed up with the wait for new episodes or word of any sort, the Avatar cast has decided to follow Mai's lead and begin making their own commecials. During this commercial break, Katara ad Toph have a major disagreement, Mai does her own commercial, and Piandao takes certain viewers on a trip down nostalgia lane.
I had to tread fairly cautiously with some of the products--kids can't drink beer! So, that stuff is left to the adults. Three TV commercials, one radio commercial, one informercial. Enjoy!
The voice in Mai's commercial is Cricket Leigh, the girl's own voice. Just like before. I couldn't use it last time due to a lack of clips...but now, it works so well, it's freaky.
Sound clips belong to their respective owners.

Avatar Scrubs
Minor spoilers for 312 and 313 included.
Like Scrubs? Like Avatar? One or the other, you should at least be able to laugh, even if you more...haven't seen Scrubs at all. If you HAvE seen Scrubs, this might be even funnier. I'm 90% certain that you WILL laugh during the course of this video, as I have found myself laughing at several parts within. Yes, I made myself laugh. That's nigh impossible. There's a helpful little blackout between each clip--if you need to pause for breath, feel free.
There is very little cast continuity in this. It is mainly based on the Avatar characters, rather than the Scrubs characters....but pairings usually match up, and everyone fits their role as well as they can. Lip-synch is off in some parts, and there is the occasional clicking noise where the sound recording messed up.
Zuko seems to be rather dominant throughout this--for one thing, because he has a lot of clips, for another thing, because, well...he fits the clips. I wish I'd used more Aang and Sokka, but it's hard finding hilarious clips that have humor that will either be acceptable or wild enough to go over the heads of the innocent. Except for the ones I used....I have more clips on hand, so if this gets enough of a positive response, I'll probably make another selection in the future. But as soon as it hit six minutes in length, I decided that it was long enough. It took a while to wrap up, but....hopefully, you'll laugh.
Rated PG for language and some innuendo.
This took DAYS to make...hunting down clips, finding ones that worked, synching them up....actually, one could say that it took months, as a few of these clips were thought of ages ago. It demanded a lot of my time and became a recent obsession, and took several revisions to make me happy. But I think it was worth it. Almost.
If you haven't watched, do so! Enjoy!

Avatar belongs to its owners.
The vid belongs to its owner. Me.
With thanks to Wishsong214 and brilliantlygreen for helping to interest me in Scrubs and then mixing the two.

Avatar Scrubs: Mai and Botox
I just made this up on a whim....I'm making a larger compilation of clips, but I couldn't resist doing this one.
Even though Dr. Cox and Jordan's relationship is really not that much like Maiko at all, Mai's trademark blank face was made to do things like this. And theirs is also my favorite Scrubs relationship, so, favorite Scrubs ship, meet favorite Avatar ship.
I actually rated this one....I'll probably submit a cropped, appropriate version in the full-scale video compilation, but for now, this one is available. There's nothing serious, just....I don't want a twelve-year old watching. PG-13, I'd say.
My favorite part is probably Ty Lee's face at the end...but Mai's face throughout is also one of the funniest blank faces I have ever seen. XD
Sound is from Scrubs.
Clips belong to Nickelodeon and Avatar.
The thing is mine.

Noticed Avatar Tidbits: Part V
Clips from 101-311. Spoiler-free!
In this installment, we see the level of skill Ozai's bodyguards possess, learn that caring about Zuko means shutting him down, and uncover Song's secret plot for pity points. Romance, deception, and monkey statues abound in this latest installment!
I'm actually pretty happy with how this one turned out. Beginning's a little awkward, but they always are. The ending actually works.
Thanks to my brother, Wishsong214, for providing a very large chunk of these.
Clips copyright Nickelodeon.
Vid copyright me.

Avatar: "Alones"
Avatar-spoiler-free!
Cannot say the same for its parody--do NOT seek out the video this was based on unless you have already seen it in Bleach. Because it contains spoilers that could be compared to seeing Ozai's face before you've watched Avatar, only fifty times worse. I don't care if you think that you will never watch Bleach in your life, if you go and watch the original thing, you will regret it immensely. I added subtitles to this one for that reason; they also helped support the middle.
Based on my new favorite opening of Bleach.
Trust me when I say that everything is parodied perfectly. There's one bit that I'm iffy on, but there's another bit that I was shocked and surprised at because I'd actually come eerily closer to the original than I'd thought....
Basically a setup for the final battle, in my mind. The final battle, and the second half of the third season. Or maybe the whole third season.....but the bits in the middle were what made me really, really want to make this vid. And the ending chain. And, of course, the slightly strange opening. Don't think that this is a comical vid....
Oh, pay attention to the colors, too. Especially red and blue.
Reminder: resist temptation to seek the original out. If you really have to know, then watch Bleach.
And don't worry, I'm getting back to work on NAT5 right now! It should be up tomorrow! I just had to get this out of the way, first. I was planning it for weeks.
Song: "Alones" by Aqua Timez
Modeled after Bleach.

Avatar -- "Bring It"
Spoiler-free.
The vid's not going to be anywhere near as cool as the preview....
Audio from a Turok preview.
Clips from Nickelodeon's Avatar: The Last Airbender.
It SHOULD be up by that date. I have midterms and Easter break ahead, so I won't have time in the immediate future.
I decided that since it's been so long since I made one, I had to do something to force myself to do so....and I couldn't resist the idea. I feel so...egotistical doing this, but this audio was being used for a vid SOMEHOW. I decided to make it worthwhile. ^_^
Thanks to brill for some design inspiration for this thing, too!

That's How They Know
I can't believe that no one else has used this song for a video! But this was fun, very fun, to make.
How do we know who loves who? Because of what we see here. Iroh and Toph (the two BFFs who get by without being shipped) lead this musical number of epic win. I don't know if the video does it justice, but I tried.
Jin had to lend a hand with a few of her moments. Not exactly love, but definitely very, very romantic. Worth comparing to the other relationships.
Done because the song rules. And Enchanted rules. And I was thinking of how to make a vid to the song while watching the movie. I also had to give Suki some loving, what with her in prison and all.
Two very minor clips from 312 included.
Avatar copyright Nickelodeon.
"Enchanted" copyright Disney.
Song so deserved an Oscar.

"I Still Need You" -- Mai, Iroh, and Ursa
A few clips from 312: The Western Air Temple enclosed within.
So, this is probably my new record for "fastest song to be used in a muic vid after I first heard it." The reason being that I had the sudden urge to make a Maiko AMV, so, rather than listening to a song and getting the inspiration, I hunted straight for it myself. The result was a song that I'd never heard before but that applied not only to Maiko, but also to Iroh and Ursa's relationships with Zuko.
It was much better in my head....
I listened to it for the first time yesterday....not even thirty hours ago, actually. It took me about eight hours to make this thing--Windows Movie Maker is back to its old crashing habits, but I got through decently. A little more effects-using than the Kataang vid I made recently, but I still think it fits the "defining" trait.
The Mai section was the hardest to make, but it was fun. I played around some....the Iroh section pretty much wrote itself, but unfortunately made for something of a lack of Iroh....and the Ursa section, well, it's something of a blend. A final verse....
Just enjoy. :)
I enjoyed making. Thank goodness for Simba/Nala AMVs! Their theme is similar enough to Maiko that the songs line up...SO....yeah.
This is the second Backstreet Boys song that I've ever learned to identify as one of their songs. I'm not a usual listener. XD
Clips courtesy of Viacom.
Song is "I Still Need You" by the Backstreet Boys.

Third Opening of Bleach: Avatar Style
Spoilers for "The Firebending Masters" contained within.
Based on the third (and thusfar, imo, the best) opening of Bleach. I had to do it with Avatar....even though this vid doesn't measure up to the original at all, I'm still rather pleased.
Original here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jOgjrOdn4k4
There was a method to my madness, and a reason why everyone is in the shots they are in....a few guys got switched up later, but I had to do it like that. I don't think it makes much of a difference, though. These were the best choices I had.
The first thirty seconds were fun. Took a while. But they were fun.
The last ten seconds were somewhat annoying, but I filled them as best I could.
Bleach belongs to...whatever company owns it.
Avatar belongs to Nickelodeon.
Song: Ichirin No Hana by High and Mighty Color

Everything Aang Does
This song doesn't really fit Kataang.
It defines it.
I don't know when the last time I've listened to a song and made a music video of it in such a short time...I listened to it for the first time three days ago (well, I knew of its existence years ago, but I'd never actually listened to the song itself), and I spent today making the video. I still had not even memorized the lyrics. It's not incredibly addicting...but it is EPIC.
I tried making a video that mirrored the epicness of the song. I kept effects to a minimum, including flashes and zooms, but I think that it works very well with the clips at hand. This is Aang's relationship. The creators may have had this song in mind when they were mapping out Aang's stance in the relationship.
This is also a slightly-abridged version of the song--there are two minutes of musical "interlude" after the end of the song, normally....and I just couldn't work with that much. Heh. Though the one musical interlude may have been my favorite part of this project.
Song is "Everything I Do" by Bryan Adams.
Video clips belong to Nickelodeon.

Avatar: Spider-Man 2 Trailer
Includes a few clips from 312 and 313. It's a trailer, there's nothing spoilery.
Had this in mind for a while, worked on it off-and-on, finally finished. I'm also working on one for Spider-Man 3. ^_^ Same cast.
I have a few qualms with this thing, but for the most part, I impressed myself. The show is awesome like that.
Spider-Man is owned by Sony and Columbia Pictures and Marvel.
Avatar is owned by Nickelodeon and Viacom.
Vid is mine. No theft.

Aang the Hedgehog
This will probably only make sense to those who are into video games, especially Super Smash Bros. and Sonic. It's recommended that you see this first if you haven't yet: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zpTlg-TSQRc
A few synch problems that I'm bugged by; if it bothers me too much, I'll pull the vid and reupload it later.
Another one of those "had-to-make-it" vids, though. It was just too tempting.
Oh, there's only one brief shot from a non-USA-aired episode, and it's minor, so....
Enjoy!
I don't own the stuff used in the vid; disclaimers within.

Houki Boshi
Houki Boshi = comet.
In my opinion, this is one of my best vids ever. The song...is probably my favorite song of the year. Seriously. I've listened to it all day today while making the vid and several times through, and I haven't gotten tired of it. Some of you may recognize it as the third ending theme for Bleach; a lot of my inspiration came from those endings. Along with my obsession with the song.
Plenty of effects and clips in this one. There are subtle stories in each, too--and keep an eye on the lighting of each verse. ;-)
This was mapped out earlier...certain segments were formed before I actually went all-out on the video...thus, I included Azula. And Zuko's not part of the Gaang. FYI, I won't include him as such until he actually joins. He's off to join the Avatar; last time, he was off to capture the Avatar. We all know how that went.
The song rules.
I hope the vid did it justice.
Oh, and Yue gets to be bad*** in this one. =D Not often that that sort of thing happens.
Song: Younha
Clips: Avatar: The Last Airbender by Nickelodeon
I own nothing. :)

Zuko's Beach Problem
I almost made another vid using only clips from "The Beach." For all purposes, I did. But....I couldn't resist the end. Spoilers for 311!
Just couldn't resist.
WATCH THE VIDEO NOW!!!!
Yes, I know I reused the song. Can you blame me? =D

It All Leads Up to This
For lack of a better title....
Just a short Avatar tribute in preparation for the Day of Black Sun.
Basically, this is just a little montage showing how they've progressed--character development. Changes, or lack thereof, and all that.
IT'S ONLY SHIPPY IF YOU SEE IT THAT WAY, FOLKS.
Oh, and with the exception of a few shot selections in Katara's session, this was subliminally inspired by brilliantlygreen's latest vid....not directly, but there's probably some connection.
Enjoy!
Music is from Disney's Mulan.
Clips from Nickelodeon's Avatar: The Last Airbender
Vid is mine. Hence the little subtitles at the start.

Avatar: Red vs. Blue
If you're familiar with Red vs. Blue, you'll get this. If you're not, hopefully you'll find it amusing, but I highly recommend going to watch it on YouTube. LOADS of fun...and a good way to pass time and try to avoid spoilers. :) This is Episode 2 of Season One.
Thanks to Wishsong214 for providing approval and audio!
Thanks to the makers of Red vs. Blue for the original audio.
Thanks to Viacom and Nickelodeon for the clips.
