Greatly Endangered
This species is in a very sharp decline and is being systematically killed or removed from its natural habitat. Its future looks bleak unless sanctuaries can be created to safeguard this extraordinary creature of immense solitude and peace.. .the "Gray Ghost" cat. In words of biologist George B. Schaller, "Suddenly I saw the snow leopard. Wisps of cloud moved between us, and she became a ghost creature, appearing and disappearing as if in a dream."
Snow leopards do not roar, they are considered nocturnal, but they are active in the early morning and late afternoon. The longest a Snow leopard has live in captivity is 15 years. The reason they are endangered is poaching for the fur, loss of habitat caused by deforestation and dam projects, and loss of food sources. How people are trying to help them is habitat protection, captive breeding, stiff penalties for poachers and international buyers or illegal furs, and public education.

THE BEAUTY OF ANTARTICA
I have made this Video for my friend Brian xoxox
Antarctica is Earth's southernmost continent, overlying the South Pole. It is situated in the southern hemisphere, almost entirely south of the Antarctic Circle, and is surrounded by the Southern Ocean. At 14.4 million square kilometers (5.4 million sq mi), it is the fifth-largest continent in area after Asia, Africa, North America, and South America. Some 98% of Antarctica is covered by ice, which averages at least 1.6 kilometers (1.0 mi) in thickness.

ENDANGERED SPECIES GIANT PANDA PART 5
Pandas are solitary animals. They spend two-thirds of their day feeding and the remainder of the day resting. Extremely agile climbers, they usually climb only when they are in danger from predators such as brown bears, leopards, and wild dogs. They take refuge in the nearest tree until danger has passed. Pandas have no particular resting place; they simply lie down on the ground wherever they happen to be. Pandas live in cold, damp conditions. They have exceptionally dense waterproof coats that give protection against these conditions.
At one time, the greatest threat to the giant panda's survival was man, who hunted it for its pelt. Today the principal cause of its decline is the erosion of its habitat due to crop cultivation or from natural causes such as die-back of bamboo. As its natural habitat becomes increasingly surrounded by human settlement, the panda can no longer migrate to unaffected areas. The Chinese people now support any measures necessary for the panda's protection. As a result, those caught hunting the animal face severe penalties. Special sanctuaries have been established in the panda's natural habitat with enough space for 500 to 600 animals. Scientists are studying the animal's habits and instituting a comprehensive conservation program. Zoos are also collaborating in the development of a captive breeding project.Related Species
The name panda is taken from the animal now known as the cat-bear. The cat-bear is also known as the lesser or red panda.

Sharks - The Great White
My aim here is to provide you with more of an insight into these magnificent and misunderstood animals. Love them, fear them, hate them, these sharks provide a vital role in the eco system of the ocean. It would be to our own long term detriment to eradicate them. Our oceans cover most of our planet, yet we are having a huge impact on the species that live there! When studied they are infact an awesome creature and I fear in the future they will need protecting from man. Shark attacks are very rare, usually mistaken identity.Hope my video gives you a better understanding of one of the oceans most graceful predators.

WOLVES
This is one of my favorite animals.Wolves belong to the dog family Canidae, which includes the coyote (Canis latrans) and the jackals. Only three species of wolves remain today . . . the Gray, or Timber Wolf (C. lupus), largest member of the dog family, the Red Wolf (C. rufus) and the Artic Wolf. Because of human persecution and habitat destruction, the gray wolf, once among the most widespread mammals outside the tropics, is now found in substantial numbers only in a few regions in Europe, Asia, and North America. The pure red wolf is thought to be virtually extinct in the wild as a result of hybridization with migrating coyotes.

Endangered Species Part 4 - Great Apes - Orangutans
The Bornean species of orangutans is highly endangered, and the Sumatran species is critically endangered, according to the IUCN Red List of mammals, and both are listed on Appendix I of CITES. The Borneo population is estimated at about 50,000 in the wild, while the Sumatran species is estimated at 7000-7500 individuals. The orangutan is an official state animal of Sabah in Malaysia. Orangutan habitat destruction due to logging, mining and forest fires has been increasing rapidly in the last decade. A major factor in that period of time has been the conversion of vast areas of tropical forest to oil palm plantations, for the production of palm oil. Some UN scientists believe that these plantations could lead to the extinction of the species by the year 2012. Much of this activity is illegal, occurring in national parks that are officially off limits to loggers, miners and plantation development. There is also a major problem with the poaching of baby orangutans for sale into the pet trade, the trappers usually kill the mother to steal the baby. Major conservation centres in Indonesia include those at Tanjung Puting in Central Kalimantan, Kutai in East Kalimantan, Gunung Palung in West Kalimantan, and Bukit Lawang in the Gunung Leuser National Park on the border of Aceh and North Sumatra. In Malaysia, conservation areas include Semenggok in Sarawak, and the Sepilok Orang-utan Rehabilitation Centre near Sandakan in Sabah.
