About a month ago I mentioned to Lynn how much I liked Gordon's Spanish Moss - Lynn answered, you are entitled to a request or two you know , and so it is requested. The scenario that immediately came to mind is that Gordon met a southern Belle while performing in Savannah Georgia. Their relationship might have been for lifetime, had things gone differently ... and, she had a daughter that Gordon called " Spanish Moss"....just a thought that works for me. Hope you enjoy it. Thank you for the request dear Lynn!
Spanish Moss
(G) Let go darling, (G+) I can feel the (G6) night wind call (G7)
(Am) Guess I'd better (Bm) go
I (C) like you more than (G/B) half as much
As I (Am7) love your Spanish (D7) moss
(G) Spanish moss a-(G+)hanging down
(G6) Sweeter than the (G7) southern love we've (Am) found
(D) Spanish moss, (D7/F#) keeps on following my (C/G) thoughts a(G)round (C) (D)
(G) Georgia pine and (G+) ripple wine
(G6) Memories of Sa(G7)vannah summer(Am)time
(D) Spanish moss, (D7/F#) wish you knew what I was (C/G) say(G)ing
(Am) So I'm rolling north (D) thinking
Of the (G) way things (B7/F#) might have (Em) been (Dm)
If (C) she and (G/B) I could have (Am7) changed it all some(D)how (D7)
Spanish moss a-hanging down
Lofty as the sycamore you've found
Spanish moss, keeps on following my thoughts around
Georgia pine and ripple wine
Kisses mixed with moonshine and red clay
Spanish moss, wish you knew what I was saying
So I'm rolling north thinking
Of the way things might have been
If she and I could have changed it all somehow
Let go darling, I can feel the night wind call
The devil take the cost
I like the way your kisses flow and I love your Spanish moss

Shenandoah - The Kingston Trio
This was and still is one of my Kingston Trio all-time favorites. I have met Jim Moran of the Kingston Trio Cover Group "Chilly Winds" - we met in LA last year - Jim...whever you are - this is for you and all amongst us who love the Kingston Trio and music from a kinder, gentler era. tj

Abraham, Martin, John and Bobby
I was asked to produce this for a viewer a while ago. As America fights there way through a sea of uuntruths and inuendos in an attempt to find a leader between three very different candidates - viewing this earlier today brought up feelings of nostalgia and a deep longing to know what America might have been had John and Bobby not been taken from this world.tj

All My Life's A Circle - Dedicated to Barb and our "Circle of Friends"
All My Life's A Circle is dedicated to The Circle of Friends Channel and all who journey to and from this channel, it is important and I am honoured that Barb invited me to join. The images selected are of crop circles - mainly those found in Great Britain...one day we may know the master (alien?) artists who know how to make them -without leaving a trace.
This vistory is dedicated as well to the life, the music and the memories of Harry Chapin.

Pussywillows Cattails - Gordon Lightfoot
Mouse contacted me, requested Pussywillows Cattails and then sent along most of the great images( except the pussy willows) used in this production. Not only that, mouse labeled the images to the lyric of the song. If you wan to get a request fast tracked here at the studio - mouse knows the way.
If Gordon sees this vistory I think he might agree that mouse's images were spot on the meaning of his lyric. Thank you mouse - will be pleased to co-produce as many of his tunes as you have images for!
Sincerely

Pussywillows cat-tails soft winds and roses
Rainpools in the woodland water to my knees
Shivering quivering the warm breath of spring
Pussywillows cat-tails soft winds and roses
Catbirds and cornfields daydreams together
Riding on the roadside the dust gets in your eyes
Reveling, disheveling the summer nights can bring
Pussywillows cat-tails soft winds and roses
Slanted rays and colored days stark blue horizons
Naked limbs and wheat bins hazy afternoons
Voicing rejoicing the wine cups do bring
Pussywillows cat-tails soft winds and roses
Harsh nights and candlelights wood fires a-blazin'
Soft lips and fingertips resting in my soul
Treasuring remembering the promise of spring
Pussywillows cat-tails soft winds and roses

The Patriot's Dream - Gordon Lightfoot - for Jim Wilkins
The Patriot's Dream was requested by Jim Wilkinson and reprents the sensitivity Gordon Lightfoot has in his music and lyric.
The Patriot's Dream Lyrics
Artist: Gordon Lightfoot (Buy Gordon Lightfoot CDs)
Album: Don Quixote
The songs of the wars are as old as the hills
They cling like the rust on the cold steel that kills
They tell of the boys who went down to the tracks
In a patriotic manner with the cold steel on their backs
The patriot's dream is as old as the sky
It lives in the lust of a cold callous lie
Let's drink to the men who got caught by the chill
Of the patriotic fever and the cold steel that kills
The train pulled away on that glorious night
The drummer got drunk and the bugler got tight
While the boys in the back sang a song of good cheer
While riding off to glory in the spring of their years
The patriot's dream still lives on today
It makes mothers weep and it makes lovers pray
Let's drink to the men who got caught by the chill
Of the patriotic fever and the cold steel that kills
Well there was a sad, sad lady
Weeping all night long
She received a sad, sad message
From a voice on the telephone
Her children were all sleeping
As she waited out the dawn
How could she tell those children
That their father was shot down
So she took them to her side that day
And she told them one by one
Your father was a good man ten thousand miles from home
He tried to do his duty and it took him straight to hell
He might be in some prison, I hope he's treated well
Well there was a young girl watching in the early afternoon
When she heard the name of someone who said he'd be home soon
And she wondered how they got him, but the papers did not tell
There would be no sweet reunion, there would be no wedding bells
So she took herself into her room and she turned the bed sheets down
And she cried into the silken folds of her new wedding gown
He tried to do his duty and it took him straight to hell
He might be in some prison, I hope he's treated well
Well there was an old man sitting in his mansion on the hill
And he thought of his good fortune and the time he'd yet o kill
Well he called to his wife one day, "Come sit with me awhile"
Then turning toward the sunset, he smiled a wicked smile
"Well I'd like to say I'm sorry for the sinful deeds I've done
But let me first remind you, I'm a patriotic son"
They tried to do their duty and it took 'em straight to hell
They might be in some prison, I hope they're treated well
The songs of the wars are as old as the hills
They cling like the rust on the cold steel that kills
They tell of the boys who went down to the tracks
In a patriotic manner with the cold steel on their backs
The train pulled away on that glorious night
The drummer got drunk and the bugler got tight
While the boys in the back sang a song of good cheer
While riding off to glory in the spring of their years
The patriot's dream still lives on today
It makes mothers weep and it makes lovers pray
Let's drink to the men who got caught by the chill
Of the patriotic fever and the cold steel that kills

Leaves of Grass - Gordon Lightfoot - for Lynn
Sometimes when producing a Gordon Lightfoot vistory I get a lump in my throat and shivers up and down my spine - producing Leaves of Grass of Lynn ( Mylady) was one of those times. Lynn subscribed to my other channel and left the choice of a request up to me - this is for you, us and all who carry the wounds and memories of war in their family lore.

Leaves of Grass Lyrics
Artist: Gordon Lightfoot (Buy Gordon Lightfoot CDs)
Album: Sunday Concert
The leaves of grass will not pass on
Though the millstones grind them into dust
For the earth shall give life to them
But only the grass will grow once more
And the brave must fall to honor the names
Of the ones who have gone before
And the earth shall give new life to them
But only the grass will grow once more
If people could look into each other's eyes
What a wonderful place this world would be
All strife would end, we could start again
And dreams like these must not pass on
But the brave keep falling to honor the names
Of the ones who have gone before
And the earth shall give new life to them
But only the grass will grow once more
And the brave keep falling to honor the names
Of the ones who have gone before
And the earth shall give new life to them
But only the grass will grow once more
The leaves of grass will not pass on
Though the millstones grind them into dust
For the earth shall give new life to them
But only the grass will grow once more

Norwa-gara
This is a co-production with Proculled who lives in Northern Norway. We thought it would be neat to create a tribute to our respective homeland regions and artists - so Norway and Niagara became Norwa-gara. Hope you enjoy the images and the music form our respective homelands.
Proculled chose a soundtrack recorded by his countryman musician Sigmun Groven , and I chose a sound track of Neil Young.
In the case of Niagara Canada - most folks know or have heard about Niagara Falls - The Niagara Escarpment is our dominate feature and creates many falls along its route through our region. Images of these smaller lesser known falls were selected.

John Hunt - Artist - Tribute by Matai
Matai, Kenneth Scott, sent these images and sound track to me with the request to produce a Tribute to Big John Hunt, rancher, warrior, artist, on the occasion of his 60th birthday. John and his wife Hazel now reside in Florence Italy.
Kenneth is an artist, sculptor, jeweller and art teacher who resides if Florence Italy and knows John and Hazel Hunt as friends.
Here is Kenneth's revealling message to me:
TJ,
I have spoken to John regarding your offer to make a video featuring his work and his reaction was that he would deem it an an honour if you considered it an effort worthwhile.
TJ,let me first let me tell of this man and why he has become to me a giant of a man, with a heart bigger than his stature and a talent as honest as his word.John is at heart a product of the high sierras,a mountain man,his eye always on the horizon, his expanse of humanity is as wide as the deserts of New Mexico. To have encountered his like in renaissance Florence is like coming across an ice crystal on a tropical isle---an absolute enigma.A week ago John attained his 60th year, his life to date would fill a truck load of fire-side stories,an ex-Vietnam veteran in naval intelligence who had never seen the sea to a Nevada rancher who loved to paint,he is wed to a woman who barely comes up to belt buckle but carries a mind as sharp as a whip.Hazel his wife has a PHD in paleontology and has worked in the field from Africa to Wyoming and it was on a field study in Nevada unearthing the largest example of fossil mammoth to have been found in America that she met John..as she has told me "Well he looked big enough to tote those bones and he just sort of hung around".
John and Hazel are becoming almost land-marks in Florence he standing well over 6ft and she barely over 5ft both in cowboy boots and stetson hats, they are photographed as much as Michael Angelo's David. It was Art that brought this mountain-man to Florence and it is Art that has taken him to Prague,Amsterdam, and many other cities in Europe that nurtured great Artists and their work,John's eye always always seeking the key to their talent, this eye that could scan a desert and know where there is water.
John's expanse of humanity is reflected in his work, from his amazing portrait work in oils to his delicate touch in still-life and land-scape studies in water colour and I have had the privelidge of him depicting me in a portrait study and he and Hazel considering me as a friend.
TJ if you could create something special for these two people for me I would be most grateful,as John and Hazel are now my Florentine family and are an important and significant part of my life.I will attempt to send you some more examples of John's work as well as other photos of John and Hazel. They have given me some CDs of a great friend of theirs in New Mexico who's music I think would be appropriate to accompany the video,so TJ if you would bare with me as I attempt to get all this information to you via this "White-man magic"system.
Thank you again.
