Yes, the word was that the new Production Manager at my sister's Company had tattoos all over his body, but none of us knew that he was a former touring member of the popular musical show "Stomp"... and more. This vid is Chuck telling us about his career in music, including poly-rhythmic percussion, where the likes of garbage can lids, basketballs, and lighters were used in Stomp productions; and his life of tattoos. Oh, and it is also about Chuck looking for a girlfriend...throw in a few shots of Chicago (we were all there for a trade show), end it with one of our favorite restaurant/pubs in C-town, and well, I hope you're a little amused, or pleased, or or...mmm, maybe you'll want Chuck's phone number?
The 'other' music in this vid is happenstance: someone had put on a CD, which was eventually turned off. Makes for rather a weird combo, don't you think?! (and doesn't the synch of it work uncannily so?)

California: Perspectives
This is a recap of one day in Southern California, including a tour of a beautiful countryside development that has magnificent vistas. The 'Easter' theme just happened to develop while editing. My sister kept referring to my taping of the awesome skies as 'Jesus pictures' because we all know how common it is to see pictures of Jesus in a dramatic cloud formation. We were raised in the Presbyterian church (the little song she sings at the end was learned there), but don't be surprised if my next video contains mention of Buddism or Islam, okay?!

Special Delivery for Auntie Liz on the W.O.W.
Recitation of a Holiday poem I wrote. It was inspired by a special delivery of some delicious chocolate morsels. Voice dubbing is off...on purpose. That's how we do things around here on LizBizToo..... LOL....enjoy! P.S. We're also usually late here LOL...I thought considering the near-blizzard conditions the midwest U.S. has recently experienced, it might be an acceptable time to post this! After all, at the end I do say 'Happy Everyday'!

"Moving" (not exactly what you might think!)
A little 'moving' work was going on when I taped this...enjoy!
This is representative of what I was up to during my short break from online activity. The making of this video itself was quite a little cosmic trip in itself. I hope you can allow my 64 year-old warbling voice; I felt I had to sing it myself as part of the cosmic trip package LOL...
The quote at the end is from the works of Esther and Jerry Hicks. No, I'm not 'preaching' to anyone (good line, Liz; its a church); this vid represents a personal 'story' of mine. If you like, search on Esther and Jerry Hicks or the Art of Allowing and you'll find more.
I kept asking myself why I was titling this video 'Moving' (other than the fact the owner was moving out the day of taping), and kept thinking of different titles for it. Then, during the time of editing, I was introduced to the Hicks' different meaning of the word 'moving' which they speak of in one of their books. So, as you'll see, in describing my break from online activity and what I was doing, its perfect!

Gothic (the pleasure principle)
A collaboration with Sainter: http://www.livevideo.com/sainter
A look at the Freudian theory of the id, the pleasure principle, it's relationship with base human instincts and it's manifestation in what we tag "evil", and "immoral", all set within a gothic context.

Music: Michael Ryan & Friends www.michaelryanmusic.com
P.S. OK! More: single proud grandmother from the midwest U.S., I'm looking to publish a book of my silly poetry; my passion is alternative, self-sufficient, green building techniques and diverse living styles; I'm addicted to video-making, online life and antiques; I drive a Miata red convertible (mmm...by default) and red is not my favorite color (blue, purple, and green are); my library is mostly architectural, healing, spiritual, art and design related more than anything else; I was brought up on classical music (mother was a piano teacher)...I love almost any music except most country n western, most hard metal, most rap; you'll know more about me if you watch the vids here...and if you want to know more, just ask!

Downloading....
an antidote to the ham sandwiches of time. And for an atrophied cognition stapled to the pinstripe of my mind that sifts through the quixotic blue black spears of the infinite ending....
And I'm spinning spinning spinning down the convoluted cracks, past the violet crumble crust of creation where that Buddha butterball look-alike with the beelzebubish leer that burns like a split liposuction Fagin's his piggy bank of pseudonyms from a fractured featureless face lift that hood's those iodised infrared eyes, with all hope crushed as compost beneath his bunions....
So I stop, I stoop, I materialize as though convulsing offal pumped through a silk sausage to view. And behold, here the windsock stiffens westward as though a cotton condom filled by the phallic wind that blows across the neon nipples of temptation. So I swoop, I hover, I particulate, blanketing the threadbare throng of popsicles teeming through the varicose veins of the glass menagerie, blank ascorbic smiles curtsying to the rumble of the ticker tape wheelchairs, the forsaken, cradling their concrete pillows, and a chorus line of chattering dentures clacking "42nd street" in Turkish Delight, for Busby Berkley, the begging bowls and the tinsel and the tin....
Reach out through the rosy fingered dawn to clasp imagination to your breast lest knowledge alone consume you, to it's peril.
Let the light on the hill be your guide, in excellence and honour, for impudence is your guardian angel in the world.
And the dripping clouds are beckoning as a conga line of blue rinsed snow monkeys dancing on an alabaster pillbox, deaf to the cavalcade of ragamuffin rasps among the misty mountain fingers of dueling dawn light are drumming on this dizzy crown like Jacobite jackboots jamming on the one jamming on the one....
And I'm a showboat shooting star sniffing out the starting line; a relativity bullet spluttering past a million moments tumbling in the solar wind, cosmic rays in my face, the speckled constellations waving me by with the scent of the cosmos splashing my senses like burnt toast. "There goes the Winged Horse, The Archer, Aristotle's Jockstrap and Washington's Teeth". And I be streaming through existential matter into the seminal singularity and out through the other side where to my muchly amused amazement there's nothing #$%*ing there, except those monolithic mirrors from the night sky that reach out in earthly grace like starving lepers in the sand, saying come play with me, come play with me....and I am there.
