Daphne: The Daffy Double Hybrid
Meet Daphne, my parents' new kitten. She is a Chausie/Bengal cross with Maine Coon on the domestic side. She is an F4 Chausie and an F5 Bengal. Those wildcat genetics really make her look, well, WILD!! And yes, she does enjoy playing in water.

My Piano Skills... ! (mic test)
A test of my new Samson C01U microphone recording my keyboard more than anything else. My piano skills have been off ever since I had surgery on a compromised nerve in my left arm several years ago (successful- more...most function was preserved), accentuated by my being WAY out of practice.
Keyboard is a Roland EM-10, and it doesn't have enough keys. I don't have any pedals for it, and it's been broken more than once.

Rhumbah's Favorite Things
Jasmine (NewtsNook) tagged Rhumbah! Now Rhumbah tells a little about herself and tags Lucky (Chatterbox) on LV, and Violet (VioletKitty411) on YT.
I know the music quality is terrible. It's my first attempt ever at mixing my own music.

I made this when I was tagged on THAT OTHER SITE (Bad, Bad site), but NYC belatedly decided to tag me here, so here are my facts! Enjoy!

Don't Cry For Me Argentina
<b>Well, I've cut out the dialog and added a little reverb, but otherwise, this is the same video I did for "Sing Tag," when <a href="http://www.livevideo.com/elixir1">Elixir1</a> tagged me. Hopefully this is more enjoyable, without the long opening dialog.
It was actually rather unfortunate. I tagged VioletKitty411 and <a href="http://www.livevideo.com/Faye006">Faye006</a> to do a duet, and while VK sent <a href="http://www.livevideo.com/Faye006">Faye006</a> her clip, <a href="http://www.livevideo.com/Faye006">Faye006</a> never put anything together.... a bit of a disappointment. I was looking forward to some good comedy there. Oh well... C'est La Vie.
The intro music is a clip from me singing the Welsh Lullaby, "<u>Suo Gan</u>."

Tropical Paradise: Costa Rica, 2001
Terrestrial photos from the Costa Rica trip I took in 2001.
If any of you ever are able to get to Costa Rica, here are some recommendations...
Take a butterfly and hummingbird tour... they're gorgeous!
Stay a couple of nights at the <a href="http://www.arenalobservatorylodge.com/EN/">Observatory Lodge.</a> All rooms have an entire side of glass, facing Costa Rica's most active volcano, Mount Arenal.
Take a canopy tour! There's nothing like sightseeing while repelling between treetops! The best one is at Rincon De La Vieja. It has 23 platforms and a suspension bridge! Don't worry... you are connected to a stout cable at all times for safety.
Go snorkeling!
They also have some astronomy cruises, for going out to sea at night for nothing better than to admire the stars.
On top of that, the water is safe to drink, and electricity is green... Costa Rica uses hydroelectric and geothermal sources for 100% of their electricity. You also don't have many of the other worries you may experience in other Central American countries. I remember being dragged off the street in Mexico by vendors trying to sell me things. None of that in Costa Rica. In fact, the only complaint I have is the condition of the roads... watch out for potholes!
Music is "Beach Walk" and "Lahaina Town," by Steven Wiseman, <br><br><a href="http://www.stevenwiseman.com/">http://www.stevenwiseman.com/</a>

Indian Winter- Original Poetry
I wrote this poem many years ago, when I spent much time with a American Indian friend and mentor of Choctaw, Cherokee and European heritage. I now dedicate it to his wife, who recently passed away from cancer. You are in my thoughts, Mou and GhostWolf.
Indian Winter
I softly tread the ancient path
where age old legends are laid to rest
My footsteps echo like phantoms of night,
while a dove coos, content in her nest.
I enter a clearing where a village once stood,
Where tepees stand in a tattered cast.
Clouds hover low, a spector's veil,
and mists uncover memories from ages past.
I gaze into the eyes of an ageless face.
An abyss of every emotion.
In them I read the hopes of a tribe,
and a life filled with unyielding devotion.
He speaks in a voice that is almost a whisper,
hoarse from years of wear.
He speaks low in a soothing tone,
in a passion unknown and truly rare.
"Eagle feathers, Starlit night, weathered face, silver light."
"Young squaw come. Follow the path of the ancient one.
Fear me not. Stand. Now follow the deer and run!"
"Step lightly, make no sound. The night is awake, sounds surround.
The wind speaks, learn its voice. Winter ends...now rejoice!!!"
The mist lifts and the Indian fades, but I am not alone.
"Eagle feathers, Starlit night, weathered face, silver light."
