It's been a few days since my suspension, and some of the feelings are sinking in. So who wants to come to Maui?

It's a Can-Am Spyder. Takes up the space of a car, total road hog, not convenient to park like a motorcycle, heavier than a bike, and expensive too. Looks like a snowmobile on wheels. I personally hate it... but hey, if you wanna marry it, be my guest. *yawn* Now if it had a futuristic overhead covering (like a car) for aerodynamics and rain protection, or it got 100+ to 200+ mpg, I would buy one. To me, if you're going to embark on a design, it should have a significant technical advantage someway or another. Furthermore, if you're going to attempt something radical, go all the way. They should have made this with a low recumbent postion (low center of mass), with fairings that are electronically controlled to behave like airplane sails to assist high speed cornering. If it could outperform both a car (in cornering) and a bike (in acceleration), then at least it could have bragging rights. To me, this is just another car. Makes you wonder if these guys did a market or focus-group survey to see if the Spyder was indeed what riders wanted. I also noticed that I doesn't countersteer like a motorcycle, and steers like a car.

Mordeth was graceful enough to swap bikes and let me ride his scooter instead. I was having a hard time keeping up with him, as the suspension was shot on my uncle's scooter.

Getting your stuff stolen in Taipei is a fact of life. Every one of my relatives has been a victim of theft at one time or another. That's why the scooter I'm riding sucks. So I'm gonna have to ride a beefier bike on these glorious roads one of these days. That would be fun.

I was able to catch up and finally got M13's attention.

I dropped my precious Kodak v705 from a great height... about 12 feet. Maybe higher. I can't believe how rugged this camera is. Can your digital camera survive such a fall on hard concrete?

I never saw Diamond Head Crater this green before. It used to be free to go in. Now you have to pay. Sucks. My favorite part is the tunnel.

So this is supposed to be the cheapest way to ship a motorcycle to/from the Continental US. It's currently at $600, but I'm certain that fuel costs will drive costs up. Pasha Hawaii ships stuff to/from Hawaii on a regular basis. Id4rox relocates from Honolulu to Las Vegas. Pasha ships his bike to San Diego, and he's riding from SD to LV.

This is what usually happens when I return from Taiwan. I usually get my little 5-min fix just riding for a little while.

Okay, I thought it was a good idea to follow him, but my scooter's top speed is 100kph (60mph). *sigh*

If there's one thing I've learned about Mordeth13, is that he's a sadist, and enjoys punishing his subscribers and giving them a hard time. I have learned well from the master. Therefore, in order to get to the good part of the video, you have to endure my horrible harmonica playing.

I've been considering removing the videos that I've used music on. It's intellectual property that's not mine, and I just have to respect that. I'm also considering taking a break from vlogging like WilsonRider.

I honestly don't know how I made it this far. I got lost a dozen or so times, and yet I managed to get on the right track. I took the long way. When I mean long, I mean LONG.

When I get lost, my turets surfaces.

This was a real challenge for me. I'm very good with maps, but to venture out beyond Taipei city on my own was a stretch. I consciously knew that I would get lost, and within 20 minutes, I had already taken the wrong turn. hah.
