My second sniplets installment. I've decided to make them somewhat shorter and therefore more frequent than they would otherwise be. I apologize to those who I promised would be in this episode who aren't in it. I WILL get to you. I just kinda did this one on the spur of the moment based around a recent video (DaDuck's on LiveVideo) and had to use just what sniplets fit with that one vid. I attached my video camera to a cat III night vision eyepiece and this was the result. Perhaps unimpressive to the layperson, but to an avid amateur astronomer, the results were impressive for a first attempt! I plan to do more.

In efforts to make production more cost effective, Whirlpool, is shutting down 2 manufacturing plants. The Benton Harbor, Michigan based home appliance maker, is saving $20 million in payroll, by closing its Oxford, Mississippi plant. 750 jobs will be lost, and Whirlpool’s Cleveland, Tennessee facility will take over built-in oven and cook top production, by adding 500 positions. Whirlpool, who employs 73,000 worldwide, will also take 235 jobs out of its Puebla, Mexico plant, and move 140 positions to Celaya, Mexico, where the company’s semi-automatic washers are made. After seeing its stock drop and production costs rise, Whirlpool came to the conclusion that it was unnecessary to have 2 facilities doing the same thing. The move will take place over the next 3 months. Employees will be offered severance pay, and the opportunity to relocate. http://www.EmploymentCrossing.com
