Angèle Dubeau & La Pietà - Les Beautés Du Diable music video
Angèle Dubeau & La Pietà's music video for "Les Beautés du diable" from their 2003 album Infernal Violins. Available on the bonus DVD that comes with the reissue of the album.
Angele is co-founder and first violinist in this all-female ensemble. I have been fortunate enough to see them live twice. They play with an intensity, precision and passion that I have rarely seen nor heard elsewhere. Their arrangements (mostly done by pianist/arranger Louise-Andre Baril) are also of particular interest for many of the more popular pieces they perform.
This particular piece, composed by François Dompierre, was written for La Pietà.
Although critically praised, I believe they may be the most under-appreciated gem in today's classical music industry. And having met Angele and some of the current performers, they are very gracious and kind as well!

Peo Kindgren plays Bach Sarabande in B-minor
From Suite No. 1 for unaccompanied violin in B-minor. Imagine this can be played om a single violin!! Amazing!
"Sarabande" was originally a fast dance from Latin America, often with a sexual undertone. It was banned from several European countries but at the end of the 17th. century it changed and got a more religious and serious sound. No dancing!! :)
Hope you like this guitar version.
Peace!

Mongolian Strings Minstrel
It is believed that the modern violin, viola, and other stringed insterments are derived from the orignial musical instermeants from Mongolia in anchient times, being that Mongolians often took over large chunks of the Earth at different eras. Here you can see a minstrel playing his strings inside the palace banquet hall in Jini Mongolia, China.

How Many Starburst?
I'm stupid. So are my friends. You don't have to tell us. We know. This was filmed out of randomness after Rachel's grad party. I felt inspired by Sue-happy America to try and unhinge my jaw... not really. The story is, this lady unhinged her jaw or some crap and blamed Starburst for it and was suing for TONS of money because her "pain and suffering". Then the radio station I listened to decided to try and hurt their jaw by shoving starburst in their mouth, and naturally, being the idiot I am, decided to try. But yeah... This is a weird video and it may be a waste of your time.

Gloomy Sunday- Rezso Seress
This is a wonderful song, supposedly cursed, and utterly beautiful. Also known as the Hungarian Suicide song or Suicide's anthem anyone who preforms or listens to this song supposedly commits suicide. Just to be safe, if anyone that listens to this does get the overwhelming urge to commit suicide, I didn't do it D:
