At the beginning of the year, more than 400,000 jobs were lost… and according to Mark Zandi, chief economist for forecaster Moody’s Economy.com, he says that another 400,000 jobs will be cut by the end of the year. This past Thursday, the Labor Department added that Employers cut payrolls by 62,000 in June, the sixth straight month of nationwide job losses. The announcement came immediately after coffee chain - Starbucks announced its plans to close 600 stores nationwide. This would leave over 12,000 employees unemployed. Manufacturing, construction, financial and retail jobs were all in a tie in job losses, while government and health care industries continued to staff up.
