~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~
Starry starry [G]night, paint your palette [Am]blue and grey
Look out on a [C]summer's day with [D7]eyes that know the darkness in my [G]soul
Shadows on the [G]hills, sketch the trees and the [Am]daffodills
Catch the breeeze and the [C]winter chills, in [D7]colors on the snowy linen [G]land [C] [G]
Now I under[Am]stand [D7]what you tried to [G]say to me
[Em]How you suffered for you [Am7]sanity[D7] How you tried to set them [Em]free
They would not listen they did [A7]not know [Am7]how [D7] Perhaps they'll listen [G]now
Starry starry [G]night, flaming flowers that [Am]brightly blaze
Swirling clouds in [C]violet haze [D7]reflect in Vincent's eyes of chine [G]blue
Colors changing [G]hue, morning fields of amber [Am]grain
Weathered faces [C]lined in pain are [D7]soothed 'neath the artists's loving [G]hand [C] [G]
{c: chorus}
[G]For they could not [Am7]love you, [D7]but still your love was [G]true [F#] [E]
And when no [Am7]hope was left in sight, on that [Cm]starry starry night
You [G]took your life as [F7]lovers often [E7]do,
But I [Am7]could have told you, Vincent,
This [C]world was never meant for one as [D7]beautiful as you
Stary, starry [G]night, portraits hung in [Am]empty halls
Frameless heads on [C]nameless walls with [D7]eyes that watch the world and can't for[G]get.
Like the stranger that you've [G]met, the ragged man in [Am]ragged clothes
The silver thorn of [C]bloody rose, lie [D7]crushed and broken on the virgin [G]snow [C] [G]
Now I th[Am]ink I know [D7]what you tried to [G]say to me
[Em]How you suffered for you [Am7]sanity[D7] How you tried to set them [Em]free
They would not listen they're [A7]not listening [Am7]still [D7]
Perhaps they never [G]will
Hymne à l'amour pianowaristed by eLi gARF
"Hymne à L'Amour" ("Hymn to Love" fr.... "Hymne à L'Amour" ("Hymn to Love" fr.) is a popular French song originally performed by Édith Piaf. The lyrics were written by Piaf and the music by Marguerite Monnot. It was originally recorded on 2 May 1950, and has been redone in English as "If You Love Me (Really Love Me)". Piaf apparently wrote the song as a tribute to the man she considered the love of her life; French boxer Marcel Cerdan, who died in a plane crash in 1949.
Desiderata (a paraphrase perhaps)
by Max Ehrmann
WALK lightly amid the noise and haste, and know what peace there may be in silence. as far as possible without surrender, be on good terms with all persons.
SPEAK your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and ignorant; they too have their story.
IF you compare yourself with others, you may become vain and bitter; for there will always be greater and lesser persons than yourself.
KEEP an active interest in your careers and endeavors, however humble, for they are real possessions in the changing fortunes of time.
BE yourself. Especially do not feign affection or attention, or be cynical about LOVE; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment, it is as perennial as the grass.
NURTURE strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with idle or deceptive imagining. Many fears are born of fatigue and lonliness. Rather, channel your thoughts to the positive, directing them to the wonders around you, never ceasing to hold yourself in a constant perspective to those things greater than yourself.
YET beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here, and a purpose. Whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. Therefore, be at peace with God, whatever your beliefs. And whatever your labors and aspirations in the noisey confusion of Life, keep at peace with your soul.
FOR with all it's sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world.
Summertime,
And the livin' is easy
Fish are jumpin'
And the cotton is high
Your daddy's rich
And your mamma's good lookin'
So hush little baby
Don't you cry
One of these mornings
You're going to rise up singing
Then you'll spread your wings
And you'll take to the sky
JUPITER and another candle for peace to all 8 billion people
JUPITER - a song by Hirahara Ayaka based on Gustov Holts' PLANETS
This is a very interesting piece because it is based on the Jupiter piece which is part of the PLANETS by Gustov Holst
The Planets Op. 32 [1] is a seven-movement orchestral suite by the English composer Gustav Holst, written between 1914 and 1916. Notable for its elaborate score for large orchestra with some unusual instruments, The Planets is the most-performed composition by an English composer.[1] Its first complete public performance was on October 10, 1920 in Birmingham, with Appleby Matthews conducting. However, an earlier invitation-only premiere occurred during World War I on September 29, 1918, in London's Royal Albert Hall, conducted by Sir Adrian Boult[1].
The elaborate score of The Planets produces unusual, complex sounds by using some unusual instruments[2] and multiples of instruments in the large orchestra (like Mahler's Sixth of 1906), such as three oboes, three bassoons, two piccolos, two harps, bass oboe, two timpani players, glockenspiel, celesta, xylophone, tubular bells, and organ (see "Instrumentation" below). Holst had been influenced by Stravinsky, [3] who used four oboes and four bassoons in his Rite of Spring (1912-1913) and by Schoenberg's 1909 composition titled "Five Pieces for Orchestra"
oh w8! here is some more info:
"I'll Be There" is a soul song written by Berry Gordy, Jr., Bob West, Hal Davis, and Willie Hutch, which resulted in two U.S. number-one hit singles: the original 1970 recording by American vocal quintet The Jackson 5 and a 1992 live version by American R&B singers Mariah Carey and Trey Lorenz.
The Jackson 5 original was recorded for the Motown label, and released as the first single from their Third Album in 1970 (see 1970 in music). Produced by the songwriters, "I'll Be There" was The Jackson 5's fourth number-one hit in a row, following "I Want You Back", "ABC", and "The Love You Save". "I'll Be There" is also notable as the most successful single released by Motown during its "classic Detroit era" (1959–1972).
The Mariah Carey/Trey Lorenz cover was recorded during Carey's appearance on MTV Unplugged in 1992, and released as the first single from her EP MTV Unplugged in the second quarter of 1992 (see 1992 in music). Co-produced by Carey and Walter Afanasieff, "I'll Be There" became Carey's sixth number-one single in the U.S., and her biggest hit elsewhere at the time.
