This morning, we make a unscheduled stop to the Punchbowl National Cemetary of the Pacific. It's a national cemetary that's reserved for the war dead and highly decorated US veterans.

I decided to take my camcorder along on one of my bicycle rides recently, so here are some typical scenes of what December looks like in San Diego at the beaches of Pacific Beach and Mission Beach.

94 year old WW2 vet, Les Loken, tells about his experience in the 13th Army Air Force, in the Pacific Arena. His memory also goes back further, to when he and his father went to meet his uncle returning from WW1, and before that when the first airplanes were a "miracle" in the sky. (This is an early YouTube posting.)
