This song came to me in a dream where I dreamt about the galaxy of stars we are a part of and wondered what meaning our lives have when compared to the enormous galaxy of stars. I concluded that life is very short and finding true love in this life is all that really matters and that Love itself is a beautiful state of mind.

This is a song I wrote in 1977 about an older me reflecting back on my youth and the good times we had centered around the music we listened to back then. I'd like to dedicate this one to my two closest bros in the world, my cousin Gartel and our mutual best friend Carmando. We all grew up together and misspent our wonderful youth. Laughing, loving, partying and having lots of fun. Carmando and I would jam on guitars a lot back then. The photo is of me and Carmando circa 1976 (I think) and I remeber that we were sitting on a park bench with the Neil Young Zuma songbook learning those songs together. Come to think of it this song is really my tribute to those great songs of Neil Young. When I wrote this song I had been a Neil Young fan for only 3 years and I had no idea that his songs would still be a very important part of my life in music. While the music style of this song is very Neil Young and reminiscent of the 70's I think the sentiment is timeless.

My acoustic cover of No More from the freedom album. I saw Neil Young do this at a 1990 concert solo acoustic and that is what inspired me to learn this song.

My first new original song (with lyrics)in over 25 years. This song is about past loves and starts with the questioning after the break up with someone you loved. Then the song moves through the years and wonders "what if" but realizes that can never be again. It's gone for good, so finally the song celebrates the memories of past loves. I think the theme is universal and has been written about many many times over. I have had the first verse in my head since high school.
