Tribute to Mai and Zuko. At first I didn't really like this couple. I think Zuko said it best, "You're just a big blah!" but as season 3 progressed they started to grow on me, then after the Boiling Rock I had a change of heart. A Zutara music video. It might seem a little anti-Zutara at first, but you'll soon see that it's a full-fledged Zutara vid. The song is Vanilla Ice Cream by Stephen Lynch who is a comedian and a musical artist, great combination in my opinion. In this video, Zuko "antis" all his other 'canon' ships, watch it and enjoy the laughs.

A few clips from 312: The Western Air Temple enclosed within. So, this is probably my new record for "fastest song to be used in a muic vid after I first heard it." The reason being that I had the sudden urge to make a Maiko AMV, so, rather than listening to a song and getting the inspiration, I hunted straight for it myself. The result was a song that I'd never heard before but that applied not only to Maiko, but also to Iroh and Ursa's relationships with Zuko. It was much better in my head.... I listened to it for the first time yesterday....not even thirty hours ago, actually. It took me about eight hours to make this thing--Windows Movie Maker is back to its old crashing habits, but I got through decently. A little more effects-using than the Kataang vid I made recently, but I still think it fits the "defining" trait. The Mai section was the hardest to make, but it was fun. I played around some....the Iroh section pretty much wrote itself, but unfortunately made for something of a lack of Iroh....and the Ursa section, well, it's something of a blend. A final verse.... Just enjoy. :) I enjoyed making. Thank goodness for Simba/Nala AMVs! Their theme is similar enough to Maiko that the songs line up...SO....yeah. This is the second Backstreet Boys song that I've ever learned to identify as one of their songs. I'm not a usual listener. XD Clips courtesy of Viacom. I know that the Zutarians took a vital blow with the season 3 preview and this isnt made to make fun of them or poke at them... this is made for fans of AVATAR not obsessed shippers, the song i feel fits Mai and Zuko very well, its soft, sullen and romantic... kind of like their kiss... but please leave your comments on the quality of the video and maybe some decent thoughts... i am a zutara supporter myself but i can tell the difference between a fanon and a canon... and it doesnt bother me one bit that aang might end up with katara... or Zuko ends up with mai... doesnt matter! PLEASE READ THIS DESCRIPTION FIRST. Warning: If you have not watched through the end of Book Two, do NOT watch this. Watch the series first. Okay, real comments now. This is one of those shipping themes videos. I decided to make one...it took me a long time, but I'm more than satisfied with the results. My apologies if I did not include one of your preferred ships, but I had eight in here. My apologies also if you think that your ship didn't get enough time or the right song, but....fitting them in properly was difficult. And don't expect any song to go on the full length....they're all cropped. I admit, I do have some biasment here, but....I kept it limited. Okay, you can watch now. ... Assuming that you've finished watching, the Ty Lokka was the kick-start to this. I might make a full-length one of the Kataang and Tokka vids--if someone wants to make one of the others, permission granted. Feel free. Maizu was probably my biggest disappointment....I'm fond of that ship, but I found that it is difficult to find clips for that. Thus, practically the entire segment wound up in slow-motion....ah, well. Taang seemed to focus a bit too much on the Blind Bandit ep, and all throughout, my lip-synching was down a bit from the usual. But I'm still happy with it! After about five different songs and a ton of other vids, I've finally managed to produce something DECENT in the Mai x Zuko ship. I can't help feeling like I've broken some sacred rule or something, though....it's fun and easy to draw Maizu pictures, but incredibly difficult/nigh impossible to make a vid about them. They just haven't had their chance to shine yet. Conversely, Kataang vids are easy enough, but have you ever tried thinking up an absurdly cute situation for those two to make a fanpic out of? I've got about two ideas.... Anyway, on-topic, the reason why this is so short is two-fold. One reason is because there aren't enough clips. The other one is that this is just a demo of the song--I haven't purchased the album yet, and I've promised myself that, having stolen all of the rest of her songs, I'll at least buy ONE Avril album. But that'll have to wait a few months. The song worked well for the ship, though, and I couldn't miss the potential of having limited clips AND limited song, so....here it is. It fits Mai and Zuko's relationship well enough, I think....a lot of Mai is defined by the absence of Zuko, or at least, that's what I like to believe. I don't intend to get any converts out of this video or anything, but I hope that some people will enjoy it. And I wanted to get SOMETHING with those two out there. And forgive the pixel-y parts, those are courtesy of the expired program which I downloaded a trial run of....it's still useful, but low-quality. I might buy the full version, but I really can't blow all of my spending money like that. If you've read the full description before watching the vid, enjoy. Pretty much, if it's breathing and female and its hair isn't grey, it's in this vid. :) As brilliantlygreen said in her YouTube "Out Tonight" more... vid, the Avatar girls are a bunch of flirts. Here, it comes apparent in a battle of the femmes. This is without a doubt the most difficult and detailed video that I have ever made. I may have spent a grand total of seventeen hours on this--mainly due to the unreliable nature of Windows Movie Maker. Which, considering that it's finals time, was probably a REALLY bad idea. But in the euphoria of completing a 20-page paper, I had to get this up and out. It's the catchiest song ever (or one of 'em, anyway), and I couldn't resist. There may be a few synching errors left in this (I revised it), and I know! But this is as good as it's gonna get, I can't afford to spend any more time editing, especially not with as temperamental a program as WMM. Influenced by the Toph version, somewhat, but I also made it as unique as I could. I went VERY transition-happy in this.... And the two moments that should stand out to you took about half an hour upwards each. But they were WORTH it.... All the girls belong to Avatar: The Last Airbender, which belongs to Viacom and Nickelodeon. All the boys belong to the girls. Hehehe. The vid is mine. ENJOY!!!
