This is footage by buddy and his friend shot with a new camera theywere testing.The resolution is poor as they had it on the wrong setting for the first test shot. It was almost their last shot. I can actually find two frames in this with bolts refracting into the lens from right by their feet. Right when the counter hits 0:42 WOW this actually posted on most recent videos page. How the heck did that happen?

Ever wondered what it's like to have your car struck my lightning?

I visit the often discussed topic of the biker wave and my theories on why I only get a 50/50 response from both cruisers and sport bikes.

Another one of those incredible flying duos. This was not part of an airshow but apparently for practical reasons. It was thought the Lightnings might meet up with adversary Spits - weird. I recall this never came to anything.

Edited down for those with short attention spans or those who don't have infinite amounts of time to watch long videos. TURN UP your volume for this one. In this video you can hear a power transformer blow (you can see a brief flash of green light in the upper left corner of the vid...that is the light from the transformer as it explodes) and see a flash from the bolt of lightning that hit REALLY close. Followed by a slow-mo replay of that. (the thumbnail is the lightning flash illuminating the night). Yeah, I know some people might find it lame that they can't see anything. But remember, it was dark and I could barely see anything either. The only way I could see was from the little bit of city light that was reflecting back from the clouds. Not being able to see much of what's going on is what makes it more nerve wracking. Believe me, my nerves were wracked after this one. Took me a couple hours to get calmed back down.
