This is the first part of several taken from our local NBC Newscenter10 TV Station documentary called Floodwatch '94. It's what they called the 500 year flood (meaning a flood like this usually only happens once in 500 years) that occured here where I live in Albany, GA and the surronding areas in July 1994. I didn't get flooded out but my older sister Lisa and her family lived by the Kinchafoonee Creek and were awoken and evacuated at around 3 AM. Very scary indeed! Their house was flooded with about 4 feet of water. If you have time to watch, this series of videos contains very interesting footage (there are 7 videos, the first 5 at about 10 minutes each and the last 2 over 17 minutes a piece for the whole documentary).
