Bill Hicks is a fascinating comedian, definitely before his time. Some people take a lot of offense at his videos but I found that he almost always has something really useful to say, you just need to listen to the WHOLE thing and not shut it off before making up your mind...But then again, that's an ignorant individuals right. He didn't understand why people blindly followed beliefs and didn't question the news etc. Considering the controversy that some of his shows endured, I would say, simply, he was before his time, made people think ( and some actually complained about this, rofl...), was damn funny, a bit crude... heh... I agree, and, must be honest as I have only REALLY watched his videos this week only taking cursory notice before and don't know the circumstances of his death etc but... was definitely a brave man in such a fragile, fake environment. As for the incident with Letterman, which I find hilarious and a bit disturbing as an Australian, he definitely showed up the show ponies and was absolutely right when he said such things as 'United States of Advertising' and something along the lines of 'stop putting a dollar sign on everything in the world'. Jordan Maxwell exposes 'divine right'. This video interested me as I studied a lot about ancient history when I was doing a fine arts major. I usually skipped class and studied about ancient cultures instead ... lol... Anyway, at the time I read many strange things and found the state library's selection of books and archived books fascinating. Whilst reading about King Otto of 1100's AD ( I think) and his wars with the papal states (or defending them... can't remember and don't care to), the author had also wrote a lot about what a royal title was and 'divine right'. Yes, I know it's from that much debated production purported to be exploring 'positive thinking'. However if you watch it more closely you will find how they describe the foundation of being a spiritual being or God force and not really acknowledging 'positive thinkingness' If you happen to look closer you will also notice the interim sequences flash 'Rosicrucian...(something)'. Something to note and be aware of! In any case this particular segment of the video really does highlight some essential truths I feel, and one should make oneself of avail to new methods of... 'positive thinking' or whatever label you wish to ascribe to it. Just don't let yourself be 'cultified' or led through subliminality... naughty naughty 'secret' producers. Or maybe I am wrong?...Let's debate it! >>>>
