One Cam 3D Anaglyph with StereoMovie Maker Freeware
I'm trying to get people up and running in 3D as quickly as possible. So, first make your stereoscopic 3D video with one cam by watching my first video on that topic, then download StereoMovie Maker (Google it) and follow the instructions in this video to make an anaglyph version for red/cyan glasses.
Don't try to look at this video tutorial in 3D. An anaglyph's worst enemy is lossy compression, and this video was _recorded_ with a lossy codec and then re-encoded to Flash... if uploaded to a site like LiveVideo.com, that is an additional lossy encoding on top of that!!! Yikes... bad, bad, bad. You might get away with one with anaglyph... never three.
This can also be done with VirtualDub freeware, as well as with Adobe After Effects.

Never Make Anaglyphs with Just Red and Cyan Filters
Part of this video is in 3D (the last two still images). To see it in 3D, wear red/cyan anaglyph glasses with the red lens over the left eye during those portions of the video.
Never make analgyphs by using just red and cyan filters, either over the camera lenses or image splitter, or in a software program. Watch the video for details.

You Can Shoot 3D with Any Pair of Camcorders
Any type of camcorders can be used for shooting stereoscopic 3D, but to go a good job, you really need to monitor the sync. Here's how I do it, using a Sync Shepherd.

3D Video of my buddy's machine shop/garage
Trying to mess around with 3D stereoscopic movie making. This is a short vid of my buddy's garage that has a lot cool machines that I mess around with to make bike part and such.
Roger Maddy, I know the scene is too busy and there is too much camera movement and depth, but after machining my camera mounts I had to test it out.
Any criticism would ways to fix it would greatly be apprecieated for future stuff.

Are People Afraid to Make Video Comments or Responses?
I hear, quite often, that people would make video comments and responses if it was a "one click" process, i.e. easy to do.
Making videos really isn't that difficult.
Are people telling the whole truth? Are they being honest with themselves or others?
What are the real reasons that people won't make video comments or responses?
What about people in general, i.e. not "videobloggers"? Why won't the average "John or Jane Doe" make talking head videos? That was really my main question (or should have been)... not whether or not a videoblogger would make a video comment or response, but why *most* people won't make talking head videos, at all.
What are the "real" reasons for this?
I'm convinced the reasons are based more in "fear", not technological issues, e.g. "it is difficult to do, because of problems with the camera or computer, etc."
What are people afraid of?

How to Make Good 3D Movies for LiveVideo
Hopefully, I will get better and better at this, but this video shows the two most important things, IMO, for making good 3D anaglyph videos for LiveVideo or other Flash video sites.
The first thing to do is minimize the depth. It only takes a little bit to get the job done. An "optimum" amount is actually a lot less than most people probably realize, anyway, and "a little too much" will absolutely kill your videos when you try to compress them.
The other most important thing to do is properly set your screen parallax to a point that works the best. If done "incorrectly", the compression can make the video unwatchable.
Keep in mind that you have to compress your video to begin with for video sites like LiveVideo, so that the file size is small enough for you to be able to upload, and then the video site will again compress that video to Flash. This double-whammie of compression will guarantee that a "poorly designed" anaglyph will be totally destroyed in the process. Only the most carefully designed anaglyphs will survive.
