Presenting an emotionally gripping presentation of the effects of violence upon Black community, and where the presence of love, commitment, determination and involvement can helps us overcome the odds of becoming statistical victims to violent crime, drugs and discrimination. So Goes the Nation - 1/4
Link to part 2/4 below
This documentary examines America's tumultuous electoral process through the eyes of diverse politicians, activists, and voters. The 2004 presidential election between George W. Bush and John Kerry provides the stage, showing how the voting public is manipulated by both parties’ leaders and their political marketing machines. Political activism and the thoughts of voters themselves are revealed in the ultimate cross-section state: Ohio.

Society
Society by Eddie Vedder. Dedicated to QuinneGorges, Everything4everyone, Poppopbeat, Brighthelmvellas, and Mr1001nights. Inspired by QuinneGorges question, "Why do you want to destroy civilization?"
"Because it's killing the planet!"
The song society is based on an amazing story by Jon Krakauer about the adventures of Christopher McCandless. It was recently made into a film. I haven't seen the movie yet. If you have, let me know what you thought about it.

Whitehouse Gadfly - They Can't Drive Her Away
Concepcion has been keeping her vigil for 25 years 24/7. When I first saw her, I thought she looked demented, until I listened to what she had to say. It dawned on me that what she is protesting and standing against is infinitely much more insane than she could ever look.
I walked away, awed by her commitment, feeling like I just met a modern day heroic prophet of doom.
I know that she has inspired my friends, Kliint and Caroline, who have now given away everything they own to devote themselves to activism. They are now traveling the country participating in actions for change. Check out their website at: http://kliint.com

"I Am The Owner Of This Coat"
I created this video slideshow to protest against the Chinese Fur Trade. These horribly heartwrenching and graphic images were gathered from around the net. The music was written by Paul Killington and lyrics were written and sung by his partner, Maria Daines of Cambridgeshire, UK., who were both inspired by the work of their friend (and my good friend also) animal activist Mary Alice Pollard, of Gerrans, Cornwall, UK (president of Cornwall's Voice For Animals organisation) who started this global campaign to help others become aware of the atrocities being done to all animals who have no voice. Mary Alice had a hand in also starting "Musicians Against The Fur Trade". The cover photo is from the CD "Moment in Time", lyrics by Mary Alice's husband, Chris Pollard and music written and recorded by Chris and Keith Pollard.
