After the devastating 2005 earthquake in Pakistan the international community immediately responded to provide shelter for the population from the approaching winter. Action Against Hunger took it a step further by providing clean water to the local population.

Action Against Hunger Celebrity Kickoff Event 2007
In 2007 Action Against Hunger teamed up with some celebrities such as Cat Cora, Jeremiah, Somi and many more in an effort to spread the message about hunger in the world. On April 12th, 2007 Action Against Hunger held a Restaurants Against Hunger Celebrity Kickoff Part in New York city to promote the Restaurants Against Hunger campaign.

A remarkable and inexpensive way to produce clean water
An Action Against Hunger staff member in Kenya giving a brief presentation on how something as simple as a Bio-Sand filter can transform dirty and unhealthy water into clear and healthy water. A Bio-Sand filter is made with only cement, rocks, and sand. Assembled , this is a very practical way of providing clean water to areas that have limited water access.

Crisis in Congo - Hunger, Poverty, Insecurity
Since 1994, the Congo has been the victim of a civil war that is considered as one of the bloodiest conflicts since World War II claiming the lives of 4 million people and displacing millions more.
Action Against Hunger has been active in the Congo since 1996 and has succeeded in reducing starvation, assisting more than 400,000 people with nutrition, water and sanitation, and food security programs.
