My pet snapping turtle. He was the size of a quarter when I got him within six months he weighed over a pound. I calculated his growth rate and determined I should be able to grow him to something like 233 tons in just a few years.>;o) Then I can ride him around, take him hunting and stuff. I'd put a little shack on his back. He escaped in Dec 06. He'll be easy to find once he hits a few dozen tons.

Ok, snakes eating mice is normal. Frogs eating mice is a little weird. Turtles eating mice? Is there anything out there that doesn't eat mice?

This is Chico. I found him on a job sight today (I do construction) and he wasn't anywhere near where he needed to be. I searched the area within about a city block and after finding no other turtles, I decided to take him home with me. He's about the size of a quarter, and he's cute as can be.

This is Chico. I found out that he is actually a Painted Turtle, and not a Red-Bellied Turtle. This is after I changed from sand to gravel in the bottom of his tank. Its a few months old.

I loved this group so much that I followed them to Ft Worth the second night just to hear their country/bluegrass all over again. They are especially great live. My shooting was sloppy, so I apologize for that. It helps to be familiar with the music so as to be ready for those mandolin solos. I'll get better with practice.

This is Chico, and he is my Painted Turtle. He is probably about 5 months old, I think. He is much, much bigger than he was when I first got him, and hes a lot of fun. I took the gravel and sand out of his tank, because they just kept the water dirty. About a week after I put the gravel in his tank he started picking pieces up and carrying them around the tank, so I removed it. Probably wouldn't be good for him to eat a piece of gravel. :P
