This is a demo of making a midi file. I import a Steely Dan song into Sonar 4 then begin creating a midi file, using the original as a pattern. The finished midi file can be downloaded here. http://www.dwightmallory.com/janierunaway.mid During this series I make a drum line, then guitar, bass, piano and brass. I am 50 years of age and have enjoyed working with MIDI since it began in the early 1980's. M.I.D.I. is an acronym. it stands for Musical Instrument Digital Interface. Simply put; that means it connects electronic instruments (midi keyboard) to a computer or sequencer.
