How I'm getting rich quick!
Please note: The following in no way is meant as any affront to Christians, Christianity, God, Jesus, or anyone practicing religion whatsowever. It is merely a satirical lampoon and parody upon the numerous "false prophets" seeking to exploit the poor, the elderly, and the ignorant in an immoral egregious effort of bilking such from their hard earned money.

Beautiful - for DaringDaver
I'm not in the habit of taking requests for videos, as I'm not sure how well I'd do working "under pressure", but I received such a nice message from Dave, and the song is just as the title says "Beautiful", so here is my interpretation of this wonderful song by Gordon Lightfoot.

Beautiful (Gord's Gold) 3:32
At times I just don't know
How you could be anything but beautiful
I think that I was made for you
And you were made for me
And I know that I will never change
Cause we've been friends through rain or shine
For such a long, long time
Laughing eyes and smiling face
It's seems so lucky just to have the right
Of telling you with all my might
You're beautiful tonight
And I know that you will never stray
Cause ya been that way from day to day
For such a long, long time
And when ya hold me tight
How could life be anything but beautiful
I think that I was made for you
And you were made for me
And I know that I will never change
Cause we've been friends through rain or shine
For such a long, long time
And I must say that it means so much to me
Just to be the one who's telling you
I'm telling you
That you're beautiful

My Life's Lessons, 101
Offering some of what I've learned and concluded for your consideration.
*By doing what is “hard and necessary” at the front or beginning of one’s life, a greater propensity and preponderance for “ease and enjoyment” is to be realized for the overwhelming majority of one’s remaining years.
*The most feared member of any society, is the “independent, freethinking, individual”. (Personal Anthem)
*Conventional thinking produces conventional results. (Live an extraordinary life.)
*Art is the intelligent and creative expression of an idea, evoking emotion and serving to further thought.
*If enough people care, and on a deep enough level, any and all may be accomplished.
*Culture, as the one an individual ascribes to belonging, is the single greatest determinant as for how an individual will act and behave.
*One of the greatest wisdoms one can learn is there are no such things as absolute morality or universal law; each represents man’s deluded imagination with specific aims towards a perceived ideal, yet NEVER to be manifested on a continual or everlasting basis.
*The moral laws of society do not always marry with the biology of man, and often are in direct and obstinate disregard for his/her inner and “intended” nature.
*Blessed are we sometimes, when our dreams and desires do not come true. For while we indeed are at first empty in that which was initially sought after, so many times greater, we expand and ameliorate upon our character and intelligence, and glean life’s scholarly experience which so much more often, brings greater reward than that which was earlier assayed...and occaisionally, forgotten.
*All great social movements, inevitably degrade from their eventual excess.

Love And A Question?
Since I’ve been off work, I’ve had opportunities for things I rarely would do before. I cleaned out an old desk drawer the other day, and found a small cigar box containing micro-cassette recordings made 18 or 19 years ago. I haven’t listened to them since they were made, and was pleasantly surprised to hear recordings of my kids, friends, thoughts, and musical ideas of long ago. I had used this at the time, primarily, as an aid for writing songs and poetry.
The recording contained herein this video, gave me quite a smile, as I had written and recorded a short song, asking a lovely lass of interest (a nurse) if she’d like to go out to dinner that night (19 years ago). So quite naturally ( ? ) I left this on her answering machine in my overwhelming, charmed way (clears throat). She became one of my great loves past, I’ve had fortune to have known them all. I thought some might find this amusing…or not? Please excuse the sound quality.
Lyrics:
Called you up just the other day
Really didn’t have much to say
Just talkin’ ‘bout dining out tonight just me ‘n you
Ain’t got a yes just yet, but I’m pushin’ on through
Send the good patients on their way
Tell them all to have a real nice day
Just talkin’ ‘bout havin’ one real nice time
C’mon now baby now can’t you see that I’m runnin’ out of lines.
Then will tell ‘em that were on our way
Aww Jane, now whadda ya say?

Perversion For Profit, Pt.2 (Now with "viewability")
From the "Citizen's For Decent Literature" brigade, the "Outstanding News Reporter"-George Putnam brings part 2.

Abridged version for "viewability"!

Again, plenty of over-the-top commentary, faulty assertions, and glaring (over simplified) generality for all to enjoy.

A news article, an AOL poll, all while reality is turned on it's head. I just found this inexplicable and interesting.

Perversion For Profit, Pt. 1
Unintended hilarious, dated, over-the-top, propaganda film, complete with overstated generalities, faulty conclusions, and vilifying homosexuality. It has to be seen to be believed! Some valid points made, of course, but seemingly lost in the hyperbole and hysteria!

A Date With Your Family
A 1950 "social engineering" film with good intentions, yet only serving to foster neurosis at the dinner table, through unnatural and questionable tactics. Best line in the film: ""These boys treat their dad as though they were genuinely glad to see him, as though they really missed him..." Campy, classic, and unintentionally comedic.

Give It To Me Daddy!
I discovered this from the Public Domain circa 1940s. It's performed by "Ben Light and his Surf Club Boys", and entitled "Give It To Me Daddy". Considering the time period, it's a bit risque and amply filled with "double-entendre". I couldn't resist matching photos/graphics (mostly) from the period to it.

The LV Lowdown Part 1
My shameless, banal attempt at presenting an idea of order for that which is commonly expressed or referred to, on our site. This is part 1, as I took mercy upon the viewer, as the original was 14 minutes in length! So much for making a 5 minute video as I set out to do....

I'll Tell The World About You
Love...it's that one inescapable emotion most of us have felt at some point or another in our lives. Like diving into a pool, underwater, and suddenly just the two of you in a world of six and a half billion no longer of notice. Ahhh, you know what i'm talking about. Notes: The song was written and performed by me over seven years ago. I made a tape and gave it to "her" , so she'd have a chance to remember the moment. I’ll Tell The World About You
I’ll tell the world about you
Doing all the things that you knew I would do
I’ll take your hand as we’ll walk along the sand
I’ll show you love and you’ll soon understand
Ebbing and flowing and everything’s going our way today
The most beautiful girl in the world
Just her love’s splendor truly unfurled
We’ll watch the sunset and hide from the morn
We’ll talk awhile at what’s being borne
Met her on a warm night, said she knew the band
Talked on through the morning and called herself Jan
I felt like I knew you and that was your way
A smile pierced through me and all I could say
Took her out found her heart we soon became friends
Dancing about the world till we laughed without end
You showed me your sweetness and I felt in the light
You gave me your hand as we kissed althrough the night

Best Quote Ever Wrote
Tell me, if you would, the best quote, bromide, or aphorism you've heard, wrote, or encountered that is meaningful for you.
Mine is: "And yet if every desire were satisfied as soon as it arose how would men occupy their lives, how would they pass the time? Imagine this race transported to a Utopia where everything grows of it's own accord and turkeys fly around ready-roasted, where lovers find one another without any delay and keep one another without any difficulty: in such a place some men would die of boredom or hang themselves, some would fight and kill one another; and thus they would create for themselves more suffering than nature inflicts on them as it is."--Arthur Schopenhauer
