I Choreographed this back in about 1983 for a small group of female dancers, who also studied Jazz Dance from me. This is just one of the first Rehearsals and the floor was kinda slippery. (hehe) Of course, once again I have to say that I copied this from a dusty old VHS, so the quality is very poor, but you can get an Idea. These girls ended up being FIRST RATE DANCERS, and went on to do MUCH Bigger things! (I just replaced original vid of Zebra ... with one (that should be sharper) This is a Professional Female Dancer, rehearsing some of my Choreography for a Show, I think it was about 1982? She is one of the BESTand Strongest Dancers I've EVER known. If you know the "Dance" you will see what I mean at the end when she does so many fuetes IN HIGH HEELS! hehe I also Designed the Costume with emphasis on the Headpiece... was having her test it out as I had to make them light weight so Dancers could do all those wild "Head Rolls" that were so popular back in the day. Just rehearsing a song. There is life in the old Boy yet. I'm 56 years old during this short sound bite of this rehearsal. (hehe) Since I have been a Singer/Dancer/Actor/Choreographer, etc. (hehe) ( I wont' go into all the Recording Artists who have not only influenced my singing but helped me in manys .... HOWEVER I will say that Luther Vandross was worshipped and adored by every Professional Singer I've ever met. We will miss you ALWAYS Luther!, and I for one will be mourning your loss for some time to come, if not always. I'd like to say that .... Some (but not all) of the Choreographers who influenced me ... were Bob Fosse ( I did many a Fosse Show, hehe) , Ronnie Lewis, Michael Bennett, Ron Fields, Greg Martin, Carlton Johnson, Walter Painter, Jerry Jackson, Ron Meren, Carry LaSpina, (sp?), Arlene Phillips, Joe Tremain, Jaime Rogers, Claud Thompkins, Jerry Grimes, Ernie Flatt, Dee Dee Wood, Roland Dupree, Doug Caldwell, Paul DeRolf, Dana Landers, Ben Lokey, Carol Connors, Ed Forsyth, ..... and the list goes -- > ON.
