This collaboration between Jantzen swimwear and myself started over a year ago with an invitation from CMG for me to come on board and be a designer for my own collection. I was honored to be given such an exciting opportunity to express my love for swimwear and my creativity. If there’s one thing I love and know well, then its swimwear! Growing up in Pattaya, I started swimming almost before I could walk! My father took me diving for the first time when I was five years old and I’ve been in love with the underwater world ever since. I’m still an avid diver and Byron and I love to go diving around the world. When I was in middle school, I was on the swim team and was coached by an Olympic coach. I had dreams of maybe one day being a professional competitive swimmer. However, those plans fell through when I moved to school in Bangkok. My training however, made me an excellent swimmer, and this would come in handy when I started to do commercials and began my modeling career. I became known as an underwater talent, and many of my earlier commercials involved swimming, underwater dancing and various stunts. My perfect vacation is anywhere on a beach or near the water. I love just lounging around on a deck chair; soaking up the sun, with a good book and a tall cool drink. When I’m in that mode, the only thin I wear is my favorite bikini, throwing a sarong or wrap on only when I really have to. My goal is to create a line of fun and fabulous swimwear for women. I’m hoping to translate my passion and love for the water, the beach and fun in the sun to some great swimsuits that women will love. My inspiration comes from the things I love; white sandy beaches, sparkling clear turquoise water, the colors of the sun setting over the ocean, and a gorgeous tanned and fit body. I want to capture the beauty of summer, sunshine, and the joy of living! The most important thing is to look and feel good in your bikini. When a woman feels confident, she feels sexy and beautiful. I want women to own their bodies, know that they can do and be whoever they want, and be proud of who they are. That is why many of the pieces in my collection are made to be mixed and matched according to each woman’s figure and style. I encourage them to pick and choose different tops and bottoms and play around with different colors and create their own perfect bikini combinations. I also have a few reversible pieces that can be worn on ether side. I’ve designed four collections in all, each with a distinct source of inspiration and theme. The materials for each collection reflect the colors and idea of each collection. I’ve also designed certain accessories to be added to the outfits to add a little extra special touch. For example, I’ve taken the cherry pattern from one of the materials to make little cherry drops that hang from the bikini ties and strings. All the accessories are made from high grade chlorine and salt water proof alloy in order to withstand the corrosive effects of chlorine and saltwater. In each collection, I’ve also designed a few beachwear pieces to complement the swimwear, such as beach bags and sarongs as well to help create a complete look. These are also meant to be mixed and matched according to individual taste and style. “Don’t just stick to matching colors! Be creative! Above all, have fun!” Sun Kiss’d: This collection is young, fresh and fun. Colorful and vibrant, this collection is for the active young girl who enjoys outdoor sports and having fun in the sun. The key patterns for this line is a love heart pattern in turquoise and orange, and a cute cherry pattern in light blue and red. I’ve also added a line of mix and match tops and bottoms that have cheeky wordings on the bum to add a sense of humor and surprise when you turn around. And for those who like to play and be active, there are plenty of halter-tops and boy shorts to keep everything in place! I’ve used the patterns from the materials
