Erráns Ruber written, directed, edited and shot by Michael J Dowswell. Erráns Ruber is the first in a trilogy of short science fiction animations made in 3d using Cinema 4D. They are all made with no money, a lot of sweat and tears and are none of them are storyboarded. Erráns Ruber actually started off from what I call a 3d doodle, I start up the software and just launch into something, in this case it was a skeleton buried in the sand, and then gradually I thought I would have the two robots looking down on it. I had no idea at this point I’d started on a short film...but once I’d done that scene I had more ideas on how it could all lead up to that moment. ---

I KILLED ELVIS intro

The Invasion, a 3D animation created with Maxon Cinema 4D 8.2 and Adobe After Effects 6.5 Pro. The storyline follows an alien invasion on Earth that comes up with some unexpected results. Inspired by the 2005/06 bird flu scare. It features real background scenes done with a still digital camera and a real time reflection on the robot surface with may not be clear in this video. Music By Leftfield "Dub Gusset" (Sony)

4D Flying with an Ikarus Variable Pitch Prop setup... Nose down torque rolls anyone? (you need an outrunner motor with a hollow shatf) that has a conrtol rod runing through it so you can control the prop:P The blade on the prop change pitch while the prop spins at constant speed... instead of being something like 10x4, they change to 10x-4. The negitive pitch produces thrust the oposite direction. i.e. 4D - mean's the plane is capable of flying backwards :) Lol..ok it's called 4D not because it travels through time (obviously) but becasue it is able to stand still in mid air...giving the apperance of time standing still. Not my name for it...

"The Rescue" is a new animation by Michael J Dowswell, the creator who has many projects on the go but tends to work in big chunks of six months per project.
