October is Fire Prevention Month According to the U.S. Fire Administration, 15,500 dryer fires occur annually, resulting in 8 million in property damage and 14 deaths. "Failure to Clean" was cited as the leading factor contributing to clothes dryer fires in residential buildings. This year, in honor of Fire Protection Month, Dryer Vent Wizard, Dry Clothes, Safe Homes owners across the U.S. have joined efforts with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) to promote fire prevention. Specifically, Dryer Vent Wizard's goal is to create awareness of dryer fire prevention by providing inspections and advice.
