Vincent Price plays Fredrick Loren, the malevolent host of a "haunted house party." Loren offers his guests $10,000 if they can survive a night in the murderous mansion.
Trivia: The house used for the exterior shots is the Ennis Brown house in Los Angeles, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and built in 1924. It was later used in the films "Blade Runner", "Black Rain", and "Rocketeer".

1959
1959 (all words and music by Don Charbonneau)
I remember the days when drive-ins where in
Back in 1959
I was just a kid then I had no money to pay
I’d sneak around the old farmer’s field
I’d lay on the grass and look at the stars
On that old silver screen
I couldn’t hear a sound
So I’d mainly look up at the stars up in the sky
I want to go back in time to see if I can find
The child I used to know
Ask if it’s alright if I can stay for a while
Cause I’d like to see my mother smile
Cause I’d like to see my mother smile
Well those times are dear
And the memories so clear
There just like yesterday
When my world was bright and to my delight
Shone like a brand new car
The drive-in is now closed
And there’s holes in the screen
And those cars have all turned to rust
I want to go back in time to see if I can find
The child I used to know
Ask if it’s alright if I can stay for awhile
Cause I’d like to see my mother smile
Cause I’d like to see my mother smile
I remember the days when drive-ins where in
Back in 1959
I was just a kid then I had no money to pay
I’d sneak around the old farmer’s field
I’d lay on the ground and look at the stars
On that big old silver screen
I couldn’t hear a sound
So I’d mainly look up at the stars up in the sky
I want to go back in time to see if I can find
The child I used to know and ask if it’s alright
If I can stay for a while cause I’d like to see my mother smile
I’d like to see my mother smile I’d like to see my mother smile

Distributors Corporation of America (1959)
Courtesy of Logicalsmash from dailymotion. Here's an extremely rare logo used back in late-1950's. This is the Distributors Corporation of America that was used on "Plan 9 from Outer Space." Now this logo for it's time knowing it came from the worst movie of all -time by some credits is pretty decent. This music is ominous and comes from a static logo which may creep some people out. Overall, if this logo was shown in today's movies it would be cheap and very cheesy but was decnt at the time. Enjoy!!

Sex, Drugs and the Cold War (1959-1972)
Using a number of old documentaries this film looks at how sixties youth counter-culture clashed with older people's values of 'moral decency'.

MGM (1959, North by Northwest Variant)
Well, ladies and gentlemen, here's a wierd variation for Leo the Lion, and no, this is not a spoof that was taken from Adobe Photoshop, either. This is the green against black and white version of Leo the Lion, and I don't think this was CGI influence because it was too early for CGI to be part in movies. I'm not even sure how they made the background green and everything else back and white, because the Alfred hitchcock classic is in Technicolor. Anyway, the pretty interesting version of MGM in North by Northwest. Also, you notice that Leo roars three times in this logo. Well, that's how the regular MGM logo would do it from 1957-1959 because in 1960, they would cut Leo down to two roars. Enjoy, peeps!!

The giver of life mock of us
only a dream we chase
oh my friends our hearth trust
But he really mock of us
but with emotion we enjoy
in the green things and in the paintings
The giver of life make us live he knows,
he rules how we, the men, will die
nobody, nobody, nobody really lives on earth.

A Cat in the Hat Presentation (1966)/MGM Television (1959-1970)
This is the Cat in the Hat Productions logo that was used from 1966 to 1970. Plus the 1959-1970 MGM Television "Lion Wallpaper" logo with a pink background instead of a red background. Taken from "How the Grinch Stole Christmas!" on Cartoon Network. Enjoy, peeps!!
NOTE: My 1998 DVD print of "How the Grinch Stole Christmas!" has the 1987 Turner logo after the MGM Television "Lion Wallpaper" logo.
